Summary
The Kärcher KHB 5 multi jet is Karcher’s cordless pressure washer and it doesn’t disappoint. You can expect up to 24 BAR of water pressure which equates to 290 PSI.
This makes it great for cleaning bicycles, outdoor furniture, stairs, tools and if you can do it quick enough, your car.
The reason we say ‘if you can do it quick enough’ is because you will only get roughly 10 minutes of use per full charge of the battery. Great for quick use, but anything heavy-duty you might be better off with a cordless petrol pressure washer.
Why Should You Buy?
Offers more than 10 times more power than the garden hose
Great for quick jobs such as cleaning of cars bikes garden furniture and tools.
5 different spray modes
Great for outdoor cleaning task without a power cable
No need for a mains power connection
Ready to go portable unit
Overview
The Karcher KHB is a battery-powered pressure washer running off of an 18v battery. The lithium-ion 18v interchangeable battery makes for easy use as long as you purchase a couple as you can expect one 10 minutes of run time off each one at full pressure.
The battery charger is included in the box but will take roughly 290 minutes to fully charge.
The pressure is good enough to clean cars, bikes, garden furniture and bins and the battery life should be enough to accommodate these tasks as long as you are smart about how you clean.
Its easy to find the perfect setting by using the Karcher App to quickly find out.
You can expect 24 BAR of pressure and up to 200 litres per hour of water flow rate from with small, lightweight power machine.
The dimensions are 10.5 x 29.5 x 77cm long and it only weighs 2.9kg, perfect for quick everyday use.
Reasons we love:
The Karcher KHB as a handheld cleaner is convenient to use and handy to have at home. It’s great for small, medium to low duty cleaning tasks and there is no need for a mains water supply.
Ideal for the quick hose down or a well-planned car clean and using only one single lance, it’s easy to use and hassle-free.
There is a hand LCD battery display which very conveniently will display the remaining battery life.
Reasons we don’t love:
Where this unit becomes a little bit more difficult to sell is that it take 290 minutes to fully charge the battery, from which you only get 10 minutes of run time.
This unit would be great if you live in a block of flats, and have trouble getting access to a mains water supply or outside power and only have small jobs to carry out. If you are looking for something a little bit more heavy-duty go for a petrol pressure washer or if you have the power point and electric one.
